Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to children and families facing challenging situations, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans for individuals, considering their unique circumstances and needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, healthcare providers, and law enforcement agencies, to coordinate services and interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of individuals under your care, making necessary adjustments to interventions and support plans.
  • Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and families, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documenting interventions, assessments, and interactions.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay informed about best practices.
  • Stay updated with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Valid registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Experience working as a Social Worker, preferably within an educational or children's services setting.
  • Sound knowledge of child protection procedures, safeguarding practices, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong assessment and analytical abilities to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
