Job Title: Sociology and Psychology Teacher (Temporary Position)

Location: Secondary School in Rickmansworth

Duration: April 14th - July 19th

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sociology and Psychology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Rickmansworth on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons in both sociology and psychology to students at the secondary level. This temporary position will commence on April 14th and conclude on July 19th, covering a crucial period of the academic year.


  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in sociology and psychology to secondary school students.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment conducive to student engagement and achievement.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress through various methods, including assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the sociology and psychology department.


  • Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching sociology and/or psychology at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong classroom management abilities.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
