Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Sociology lessons that are aligned with the National Curriculum and the school's ethos and values.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior leadership, and implementing strategies to ensure that all students achieve their full potential.
- Contributing to the broader life of the school, including attending meetings, participating in CPD, and contributing to school events.
- Supporting the development of student's social and emotional skills.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Extensive experience teaching Sociology in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Sociology curriculum across all key stages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- A commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of all students.
