We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher for an Ofsted-rated "Good" school located in Maidenhead. This is a full-time position starting in September 2023. As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality language education to students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students, ensuring adherence to the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' enthusiasm for language learning and encourages their participation.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their language development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and schemes of work.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, attendance, and other relevant data.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and any concerns.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and language education practices.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Specialization in Spanish language education, with in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.
- Experience teaching Spanish to students of different age groups and abilities.
- Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to students' academic and personal development.
- Organizational skills to plan and deliver lessons effectively, meet deadlines, and manage administrative responsibilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the needs of students and the school community.
