Dunbar Education, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) with a focus on secondary education. This exciting opportunity is based in Baldock and offers a fulfilling role within a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or group support to students with Special Educational Needs in a SEN secondary school setting.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
- Knowledge of various Special Educational Needs and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
- Must have an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- A commitment to working full-time during term time.
