Sports Coach & 1-1 SEN TA (Primary School)
As a Sports Coach & 1-1 SEN TA, you will be Teaching Sport in the mornings, and then you would be expected to work closely with an individual student, providing tailored support to help them succeed academically and develop important life skills in the afternoons. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a varierty of sports according to the Primary curriculum.
- Work closely with a specific student/students, providing personalised learning support.
- Assist with classroom activities and assignments to ensure the student's progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help the students build self-confidence and develop important social skills.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other support professionals.
- Maintain regular communication to track and report on the student's progress.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience coaching sport within education
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or support role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- The ability to adapt to the unique needs of the individual student.
- A commitment to long-term, permanent employment.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
