Dunbar Education is currently on the lookout for committed Primary Supply Teachers to join our team and collaborate with a range of local primary schools in Bedford. We have immediate openings as well as placements starting in September.

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work across various year groups and subjects, covering for absent teachers and delivering engaging lessons that ignite pupil's curiosity and passion for learning. Whether you prefer short-term assignments or long-term placements, we have options to match your availability and preferences. Key Responsibilities:

  • Step in for absent teachers across different year groups and subjects within primary education
  • Craft dynamic and tailored lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to student achievement
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including behaviour management strategies and safeguarding protocols
  • Foster positive connections with pupils, colleagues, and parents to ensure seamless learning continuity
  • Fulfill administrative duties like marking and lesson planning as needed

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience in a primary school environment (Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply)
  • Flexibility to adapt to different year groups and educational settings
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient behaviour management skills and the knack for engaging and motivating pupils
  • Proactive and professional approach to supply teaching
