Responsibilities:
- Provide invaluable communication support to students with diverse needs, including hearing impairments, speech and language difficulties, and other communication challenges.
- Provide interventions to young people as needed. This could include academic interventions or social and emotional focused interventions
- Utilise lip speaking and note-taking techniques to ensure students can effectively participate in lessons and access the curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and professionals to implement effective communication strategies for all learners.
- Foster independence and confidence in students by providing encouragement and support.
- Prioritise the safety and well-being of all learners, strictly adhering to school policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate patience, kindness, and compassion in your approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to pursue training and professional development as required.
