Position: Teacher of Computer Science

Dunbar Education is excited to be recruiting for a Teacher of Computer Science on behalf of a thriving and forward-thinking 11-18 mixed community school in Buckingham. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Design and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that spark a passion for Computer Science.
  • Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental and whole school CPD.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to support student learning.

Opportunity for Leadership:

For the right candidate, there is potential to also take on a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) as Head of Year. This role involves additional leadership responsibilities, including pastoral care and supporting the academic progress of a specific year group.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Ability to teacher Computer Science at KS3 to KS5 - Applications from ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
