Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Design and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that spark a passion for Computer Science.
- Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Computer Science curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and whole school CPD.
- Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to support student learning.
Opportunity for Leadership:
For the right candidate, there is potential to also take on a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) as Head of Year. This role involves additional leadership responsibilities, including pastoral care and supporting the academic progress of a specific year group.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
- Ability to teacher Computer Science at KS3 to KS5 - Applications from ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
- Passionate about teaching and inspiring young people.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
