Position: As a Teacher of Computing, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students, fostering their enthusiasm for the subject, and helping them develop the necessary skills for the digital world. You will join a dynamic and collaborative department, working closely with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Computing curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons that cater to a diverse range of student needs and abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Foster a passion for Computing by delivering innovative and interactive lessons that incorporate relevant technology and real-world applications.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress, supporting their individual development and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for the continuous improvement of the Computing curriculum.
  • Monitor and track student performance, maintaining accurate records and effectively communicating progress to students, parents, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or robotics teams, to further enrich the Computing experience for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Computing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Computing at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages, software applications, and current trends in the field of Computing.
  • Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Passion for continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with advancements in Computing education.
