Role Overview: As a Teacher of Girls PE, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality physical education lessons to our female students, ensuring their holistic development and promoting healthy lifestyles. This position presents an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the students during a maternity absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of female students across different age groups.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate and develop their physical skills and abilities.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sporting activities and events, providing opportunities for students to further develop their talents and interests in sports.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department to coordinate curriculum delivery and ensure consistency in teaching standards and assessment practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and participation in PE activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Physical Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching PE, preferably with a focus on girls' physical education, at the secondary level.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young people, particularly girls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cover maternity leave and contribute effectively to the ongoing success of the PE department.
