Salary: MPS/UPS dependent on experience (TLR 2c for Head of Year available for suitably qualified candidates too)

About the Role:

Dunbar Education is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of PE to join this esteemed academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a dynamic and engaging physical education curriculum across the age-range, inspiring students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and the school's extracurricular sports program.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level; applications from ECTs and more experienced teachers are both warmly wwelcombed
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education and sports.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
