Job Title: Science Teacher

Location:Chiltern, Buckinghamshire. 11-18 mixed, Ofsted 'Good' Academy

Salary: MPS/UPS (London Fringe) dependent upon experience

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Dunbar Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Science and a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Science lessons to students of all abilities, in KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for KS5 for the right candidate.
  • Planning and preparing engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, and providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Contributing to the development of Science curriculum and resources.
  • Taking an active role in the Science department, participating in meetings and events.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Science or related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Science curriculum.
  • Experience of teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 is desirable; this role would suit and ECT or more experienced individual.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons and support students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of teaching Science at KS5.
  • Knowledge of Science-related careers and industries.
