We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our dynamic faculty. All specialisms within the field of Science will be considered. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a school that is undergoing an exciting transformation, with a brand-new block currently being constructed. This development, along with the existing buildings, will create a vibrant central courtyard at the heart of our school.

As a Teacher of Science, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities that include newly designed laboratory rooms, well-equipped general classrooms, a modern school hall/dining room, and dedicated offices for staff members. In addition, our school takes pride in its famous Koi and goldfish, and we will even have a new fish tank installed in one of the communal areas for everyone to enjoy.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about inspiring students in the field of Science. We welcome applications from teachers with expertise in any scientific specialism, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and other related disciplines. You will have a deep understanding of your specialism and a proven ability to engage and motivate students across different age groups, from KS3 to KS5. Your expertise will enable you to deliver engaging lessons that foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a passion for exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students at various levels, following the curriculum guidelines.
  • Provide specialized instruction within your scientific specialism, promoting in-depth understanding and practical application.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore scientific concepts, conduct experiments, and develop analytical skills.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science curriculum.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in your scientific field and incorporate them into teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialization in Science, with expertise in any scientific specialism.
  • Proven experience teaching Science to students at different levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to promoting students' holistic development.
