The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of Biology to join the Science team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology across Key Stages 3 to 5. This is a full-time, permanent position with a start date as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology lessons from KS3 through to KS5, using innovative teaching methods to engage and challenge students.
- Ability to teach Chemistry and Physics at a lower-level is desirable.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and stimulating Biology curriculum that meets educational standards and inspires a love of science.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Foster an environment of scientific inquiry and curiosity, encouraging students to explore and understand the natural world.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Biology or a related field, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Biology at KS3 and KS5.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
