Position: Full-Time SEN Teacher

Responsibilities: As a Full-Time SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, helping them manage their emotions and behaviors. Additionally, you will provide essential support to young individuals with complex learning impairments, including autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To promote and model the organisation's values
  • Develop an understanding of the health and wellbeing needs, strengths, challenges, and disabilities of the students who access our service
  • Take the lead for a designated subject area for the school, promoting its effective delivery by colleagues
  • Create a meaningful and robust scheme of work for your allocated subject area that provides students with appropriate challenges and the opportunity to succeed
  • Support the delivery of statutory education to all applicable students, ensuring that positive outcomes are achieved
  • Cater to students in Key Stage 2 (KS2) to Key Stage 4 (KS4)

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven UK teaching experience, specifically in working with pupils with SEN, SEMH, and complex learning impairments
  • Ability to implement effective teaching strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Understanding and experience in supporting learners with autism spectrum disorders
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service
  • Term-time availability
