Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Northampton

Start Date: As soon as possible, or September 2023

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30

Dunbar Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team in a primary school in Northampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with their learning on an individual or small group basis.
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching resources and materials.
  • Promoting a positive learning environment and encouraging pupil engagement.
  • Assisting with the supervision of pupils during break times.
  • Accompanying pupils on educational visits and outings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the primary school curriculum and classroom practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and using own initiative.
