Hours: 27.5 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP/1st November

Position Overview: Our partner school, a reputable primary school in Leighton Buzzard, is in search of a dedicated Teaching Assistant who shares their commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for their students. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a real impact on young lives and support the growth of a vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups, ensuring their academic progress.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Work closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN).
  • Contribute to classroom management and behavior support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Able to start on or before 1st November 2023.
  • Prior experience working with children is essential.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • A proactive and positive attitude towards continuous learning and development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are a plus.
