Position Overview: Our partner school, a reputable primary school in Leighton Buzzard, is in search of a dedicated Teaching Assistant who shares their commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for their students. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a real impact on young lives and support the growth of a vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Provide support to individual students or small groups, ensuring their academic progress.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
- Work closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN).
- Contribute to classroom management and behavior support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Able to start on or before 1st November 2023.
- Prior experience working with children is essential.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards continuous learning and development.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are a plus.
