Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons by providing one-to-one support to students or small groups, ensuring all students are included and supported in their learning journey.
Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize educational materials, equipment, and resources required for lessons, ensuring they are readily accessible and conducive to effective teaching and learning.
Student Assistance: Provide additional support to students with special educational needs or those facing academic challenges, implementing strategies to promote their learning and development.
Behavior Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by implementing behavior management strategies and offering guidance to students on appropriate conduct.
Assessment Support: Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student progress, including marking and providing feedback on assignments, tests, and projects under the guidance of the teacher.
Supervision: Supervise students during break times, lunchtime, and other school activities, ensuring their safety and promoting positive social interactions.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role of a Teaching Assistant, staying updated on educational best practices and policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of prior experience working within the UK education system, preferably in a similar role.
