Teaching Assistant, Wellingborough.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a fantastic secondary school in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and pastoral needs of our students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students, both inside and outside the classroom, with a focus on addressing individual learning needs.

  • Assist in the management of challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Offer pastoral care and well-being support to students, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere within the school.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective strategies for the development of students' social and emotional skills.

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.

  • Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that the specific needs of students are met.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly working with teenagers.

  • A passion for supporting students' academic and personal development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.

  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics.

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Start Date:

The successful candidate must be available to start in January 2023.
