Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant with Dunbar Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students within the Leighton Buzzard area. This position is well-suited for individuals with a passion for education and a minimum of 6 months of prior experience working in the UK education system.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Provide assistance to the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in a positive learning environment.
Individualized Support: Work closely with students who may require additional assistance, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to ensure their academic and personal development.
Resource Management: Prepare and organize teaching materials, resources, and equipment to enhance the effectiveness of lessons.
Behavior Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive student behavior.
Communication: Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Assessment Support: Assist in the administration and marking of assessments, as well as providing constructive feedback to students.
Safety and Wellbeing: Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of students, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education system.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child development.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
