Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Luton. The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support student learning and development, ensuring that all students receive the assistance they need to thrive in the classroom. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, providing support as needed.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional instruction.

  • Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, promoting positive interactions and relationships.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring that students are engaged and focused on their learning.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials and resources, including setting up equipment and resources for practical activities.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behavior, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals as necessary to support student learning and well-being.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education system.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and classrooms.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
