We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team for a Year 1 class. This position is initially temporary, running until the October half-term, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and school requirements.

Key Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant in Year 1, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the classroom teacher and ensuring a positive learning environment for students. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Supporting individual students with their learning needs.
  • Preparing and organising resources for lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Collaborating with the teacher to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service.
  • Immediate availability to start work.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them achieve their potential.
