We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to start in September.
This is full-time and based in a Bedford primary school.
As a Year 1 Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the early learning experiences of our pupils. This position offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love of learning, support students' development, and lay the foundation for their future academic success.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with early years as a Teacher, have 6 months + experience (could be placement experience) and to have excellent understanding of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that align with the Year 1 curriculum.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
- Implement effective teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of pupils.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic approach to pupil education and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
- Excellent knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and understanding of early childhood development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity and adaptability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.
