Year 2 Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for a fantastic Year 2 Teacher to make a difference at a primary school in Hemel Hempstead Dunbar is working with. This full-time role starts in September and offers an exciting opportunity to teach in a brilliant school with progression opportunity.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create and implement engaging and effective lessons that align with the national curriculum for Year 2 pupils.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and maintains discipline.
  • Assess and Monitor Progress: Evaluate and track pupil progress, providing feedback and support to help each child achieve their full potential.
  • Parent and Guardian Communication: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians about pupil progress and any concerns, fostering a supportive home-school relationship.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential qualification for teaching in a primary school.
  • Experience: Prior experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with Year 2 pupils.
  • Strong Curriculum Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Classroom Management Skills: Proven ability to maintain a well-organised and disciplined classroom.
