The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils. As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum, preparing pupils for their transition to secondary education, and ensuring every child makes excellent progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting appropriate targets.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Uphold and promote the school's values and ethos.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with experience in Year 6.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
  • A passion for education and a dedication to making a positive impact on children's lives.
