As they prepare for the new academic year, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join the dynamic team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of Year 6 students, ensuring coverage of the National Curriculum.
- Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and assessments.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on students' progress and well-being.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Year 6, with a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering academic and personal growth in students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
