We are currently seeking a committed and motivated Youth Worker to join our team in Ware. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in working with young people in the local community, empowering them to develop and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver diverse engaging activities and programs that inspire and captivate young people.
- Cultivate positive and trusting relationships with young people, their families, and the wider community.
- Provide valuable support and advice to young people on various topics such as health and well-being, education, and employment.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow youth workers and external organisations to ensure a comprehensive and integrated service for young people.
- Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken and provide regular reports to the line manager.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in youth work or a related field, demonstrating your theoretical knowledge and understanding.
- Previous experience working with young people in a community setting, showcasing your practical skills and abilities.
- An empathetic understanding of the challenges faced by young people in today's society.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to connect and engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.
- A commitment to equal opportunities and a non-judgmental approach in your work.
- Based in Ware or within a commutable distance
