Job Description: As a 1:1 ADHD Support Specialist, you will work closely with individual students who have been diagnosed with ADHD, offering tailored support to meet their unique needs. Your role will involve:
- Developing and implementing personalized support plans for each student.
- Assisting students in understanding their ADHD and providing strategies to manage their challenges effectively.
- Providing academic support and guidance, focusing on areas that require extra attention.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive network around the student.
- Tracking progress and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
Requirements:
- A background in education, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or young people with ADHD is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with ADHD.
