As a 1-1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with a specific child, providing them with additional support and guidance to help them succeed in their academic and personal development. You will work with the class teacher and other members of the school community to ensure that the child's individual needs are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one support to a specific child
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
- Preparing resources and materials for lessons
- Providing feedback to the class teacher on the child's progress
The successful candidates will have:
- A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on children's lives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable, but not essential
