If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a 1-1 Support Staff member in Hemel Hempstead primary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with children with special educational needs on a one-on-one basis, providing personalized support tailored to their individual requirements.
- Assist with academic tasks, including reading, writing, mathematics, and other subject areas, adapting teaching methods to suit each child's learning style.
- Promote social and emotional development by fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment, encouraging positive relationships and effective communication.
- Monitor progress, assess achievements, and provide feedback to both students and their families, highlighting areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, following safeguarding procedures and maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar role or working with SEN children, such as experience in education, childcare, or related fields.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable.
