We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a young boy with cerebral palsy in Year 1 at a reputable school in Wellingborough. Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a young boy with cerebral palsy throughout the school day.
- Assist the student with their physical needs, including lifting and moving, in accordance with their individual care plan.
- Support the student's academic progress by providing tailored assistance
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalised learning strategies.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes the student's social and emotional development.
- Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move the student safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with the student, parents, and other members of the school community.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and holistic development of young learners.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
