Join our dedicated team as an ARP (Additional Resource Provision) Class Teacher and play a vital role in providing specialized support for children with additional needs within our primary school setting based in Beaconsfield!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to meet the unique needs of children with additional needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other communication and social interaction difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with the ARP team, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies and sensory integration techniques to support children's social and emotional development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/carers to provide updates on children's progress and collaborate on strategies for support both at school and at home.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly those with ASD or related conditions.
  • Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions to support children's communication, social skills, and sensory processing.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
