Job Description:
Are you an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in a primary school setting? If so, Dunbar Education has an exciting role for you as a Behaviour Mentor in Hemel Hempstead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students to assess their behavioural needs and develop individualised behaviour support plans.
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, helping students develop social and emotional skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role is essential.
- A genuine passion for working with students to address behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
