Job Description:

Are you an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in a primary school setting? Do you have a passion for working with students to help them overcome behavioural challenges and reach their full potential? If so, Dunbar Education has an exciting role for you as a Behaviour Mentor in Hemel Hempstead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students to assess their behavioural needs and develop individualised behaviour support plans.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and consistent approach to behaviour management.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor, helping students develop social and emotional skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with students to address behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
