Behaviour Mentor

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Behavior Mentor to join various schools in Milton Keynes. As a Behavior Mentor, you will work closely with students in schools to support their emotional, social, and behavioral development. You will play a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges, develop positive coping strategies, and achieve their full potential in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioral challenges.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement behavior plans.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students.
  • Promote social and emotional well-being among students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field (desired but not essential).
