Job Description:

As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional, associated, and sometimes complex needs. These may include but are not limited to:

  • ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)
  • ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder)
  • Tourette's Syndrome
  • Mental Health Difficulties
  • Language and Learning Difficulties
  • Asperger's Syndrome or those on the Autistic Spectrum

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability; part-time applications will not be considered.
  • Possession of a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings. Experience in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) or behaviour support is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Implementing tailored strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour management.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters emotional well-being and academic success.
