We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual for the role of Behaviour Support Mentor. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to provide specialist help and support to young people who may be experiencing difficulties with their behaviour in school or out of school.
Your duties and responsibilities will include working with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups, developing and using strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour, drawing up agreed action plans with students, working alongside teachers and support staff to promote the effective use of behaviour management strategies, and working directly with individuals or groups to raise self-esteem and confidence of pupils.
You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective and positive relationships with young people, school staff and parents, as well as being able to think analytically and creatively about challenging behaviour and problem-solving. Additionally, you must have excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to work calmly and flexibly under pressure.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team and use your passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge to make a positive difference in the lives of children with challenging behaviour.
