Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Challenging Behaviour Specialist to join our team in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and providing targeted support to individuals with challenging behavior, enabling them to access education and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals with SEN and challenging behavior.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.
- Provide direct support and intervention to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to support.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of interventions and progress.
- Offer training and guidance to staff and parents/caregivers.
- Stay current with best practices in challenging behavior and SEN.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with individuals with SEN and challenging behavior.
- Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathetic, patient, and adaptable.
