DT Teacher (Food & Nutrition)

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated DT Teacher with expertise in Food & Nutrition to join our team at a Hackney Secondary School on a temporary basis. As the ideal candidate, you will be passionate about teaching and inspiring young minds, and have a strong track record of achieving outstanding results in your subject area.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Food & Nutrition to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level
- Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that challenge and inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement and achievement within the department
- Promote high standards of behaviour and ensure that all students are able to learn in a safe and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Food & Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to ensuring that all students reach their full potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
