We are currently looking for an SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team full-time starting September 2023.

The successful candidate must have QTS, a proven recording of teaching SEN in UK classrooms.

At Dunbar Education, we seek an enthusiastic, creative and compassionate educator to join our team!

As an SEN Teacher, you will work in a specialist school with children and young people with various needs. You will use your skills to identify, assess and implement educational plans tailored to each individual student. Your main objective will be to develop student independence and well-being by equipping them with the skills they need to overcome their physical and learning barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lessons and resources
  • Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Assess children and young people who have long or short-term learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual pupils' special needs
  • Work with the head teacher and governing body to ensure that the requirements of the Equality Act (2010) are met in terms of reasonable adjustments and access arrangements
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists
