A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis starting in September 2025.
This is a rewarding 1:1 role working with a Key Stage 1 pupil who requires consistent and nurturing support throughout the academic year. The child benefits from a calm and patient approach, and the school is committed to providing the right person with the tools and training needed to make a lasting impact.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 tailored support to a child in KS1 with identified SEN needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver an individualised support plan
Encourage social and emotional development through positive interaction and consistent guidance
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and EHCP targets
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly on a 1:1 basis
A compassionate and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable
