Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis starting in September 2025.

This is a rewarding 1:1 role working with a Key Stage 1 pupil who requires consistent and nurturing support throughout the academic year. The child benefits from a calm and patient approach, and the school is committed to providing the right person with the tools and training needed to make a lasting impact.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to a child in KS1 with identified SEN needs

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver an individualised support plan

  • Encourage social and emotional development through positive interaction and consistent guidance

  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and EHCP targets

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly on a 1:1 basis

  • A compassionate and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional needs

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable
