Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Full-Time SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and social development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a behavior role or as a youth worker is essential.
- Solid understanding of SEMH needs and the ability to apply effective strategies.
- UK-based experience working in an educational or similar setting.
- Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.
Term Time Position:
This is a term-time position, allowing for a work schedule aligned with the school calendar.
