Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a fulfilling role in St. Albans? Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a primary school team in a multifaceted role. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including providing PPA cover with pre-planned lessons and working with SEN children to deliver targeted interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PPA Cover:
    • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
    • Ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for students.
    • Provide support and guidance to students during lessons.
  • SEN Interventions:
    • Work closely with SEN students to provide tailored interventions.
    • Collaborate with the SENCO and classroom teachers to develop individualised plans.
    • Monitor progress and adapt interventions as needed.
    • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant/SEN TA.
  • A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching situations and provide engaging lessons.
  • Experience working with SEN children and delivering interventions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
