Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a primary school team in a multifaceted role. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including providing PPA cover with pre-planned lessons and working with SEN children to deliver targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- PPA Cover:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for students.
- Provide support and guidance to students during lessons.
- SEN Interventions:
- Work closely with SEN students to provide tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and classroom teachers to develop individualised plans.
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions as needed.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant/SEN TA.
- A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching situations and provide engaging lessons.
- Experience working with SEN children and delivering interventions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
