Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire

Contract: Full-time, September start

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
  • Providing targeted intervention and support to students, both in groups and on an individual basis
  • Assisting with the management of classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Requirements:

  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a HLTA or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
