Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity in a primary school setting? Dunbar Education are looking to recruit experienced, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant, to work within schools in Hertfordshire area.

Role Overview: As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning activities within the primary school. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will assist in creating an engaging and positive learning environment for students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support students' learning progress.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional help or have special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in classroom management and maintaining a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Prepare and organise teaching resources and materials as directed by the teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of students' progress.
  • Encourage students' social and emotional development and foster positive relationships.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in a primary school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications as an HLTA.
  • Strong understanding of primary education and the ability to support the delivery of lessons effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for empowering students' growth.
