Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology KS4-KS5 Teacher to join an Independent College in Cambridge. This position offers the flexibility of either a permanent or supply role, with an immediate start date available.
Responsibilities:
Teaching Excellence: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Biology lessons to KS4-KS5 students, inspiring a passion for the subject and promoting academic achievement.
Student Support: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, independent learning, and student engagement.
Assessment: Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their development.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Biology curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the latest educational standards and best practices.
Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and teaching strategies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Biology or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching Biology at KS5 level is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for biology education.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
