Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Modern Languages Teacher to join our dynamic team at our SEN School. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is eager to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.

Must Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Qualification to teach Spanish, French, or German
  • At least 6 months' experience working with SEN children

Hours: 15 Hours- 2 days a week.

Job Description: As a SEN Modern Languages Teacher you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality language education tailored to meet the individual needs of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans in Spanish, French, or German that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their language learning journey.
  • Assessment and Monitoring: Regularly assess students' progress, maintain detailed records, and use this information to inform future planning and interventions.
  • Classroom Management: Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and SEN specialists to develop and implement effective strategies that support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in the learning process where appropriate.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest developments in SEN education and modern languages teaching, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
