Job Title: Nursery Manager

Location: Northampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Term Time Only)

About Us: Dunbar Education is a trusted recruitment agency specialising in education. We are currently working on behalf of a reputable local nursery in Northampton to find a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to join their team.

Position Overview: As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the nursery. You will lead a team of passionate educators and ensure the provision of high-quality care and education to children during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the nursery staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of the children.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor nursery staff, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering their professional development.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their child's progress.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, following all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Budget Management: Manage the nursery's budget effectively, making strategic decisions to maximise resources.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of care and education, conducting regular assessments and evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or similar leadership role in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications are preferred.
