Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Northampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Term Time Only)

Position Overview: As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and education to children during term time. You will be part of a nurturing and dynamic team that creates a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare: Provide attentive and caring support to children, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Education: Implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that support children's development and learning.
  • Communication: Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering open and effective communication.
  • Observation: Monitor and record children's progress and behaviour, adapting care and activities accordingly.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A warm and nurturing approach to childcare.
  • A commitment to providing a stimulating and inclusive environment for children.
