Dunbar Education, a leading provider of education and support services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Support Worker to join our team in Northampton. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support and care for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
- Assist students with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
- Implement individual education and support plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Facilitate learning and engagement through various activities and sensory stimulation.
- Promote independence and develop life skills among students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with complex needs.
- Ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and respect.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards students.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance (or willing to undergo the process).
